  Definition of Analytical Exposition Text Analytical Exposition is a text that elaborates the writer‘s idea about the phenomenon surrounding. Its social function is to persuade the reader that the idea is important matter, and to analyze the topic that the thesis/opinion is correct by developing an argument to support it. Generic Structure of Analytical Exposition Text 1. Thesis : Introducing the topic and indicating the writer’s point of view.  2. Argument : Explaining the argument to support the writer’s position. The number of arguments may vary, but each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation.  3. Reiteration : Restating the writer’s point of view / to strengthen the thesis. We can use the following phrase to make conclusion in reiteration :  From the fact above … I personally believe … Therefore, my conclusion is … In conclusion … Purpose of Analytical Exposition Text To convince the reader that the topics presented was an important topic to be discussed or gained

  Definition of Narrative Text Narrative text is a story with complication or problematic events and it tries to find the resolutions to solve the problems. An important part of narrative text is the narrative mode, the set of methods used to communicate the narrative through a process narration. Generic Structure of Narrative Text 1. Orientation Sets the scene : where and when the story happened and introduces the participants of the story : who and what is involved in the story. 2. Complication Tells the beginning of the problems which leads to the crisis (climax) of the main participants. 3. Resolution The problem (the crisis) is resolved, either in a happy ending or in a sad (tragic) ending. 4. Re-orientation/Coda This is a closing remark to the story and it is optional. It consists of a moral lesson, advice or teaching from the writer.   Definition of Biography Text  A biography is a story or information about a person's life. A biography is more complex than just a resume and data on a person's work, it also tells about the feelings involved in experiencing these events. The biography describes in full the life of a character from childhood to old age, even to death. All services, works, and everything that is produced or done by a character is also clarified. The biographical text was composed by others, not by myself. Biography text is a detailed description or account of a person’s life and written by someone else, it is nonfiction text. Function of Biography Text - To know a person’s story about his/her life outside of any accomplishments this person may be known    for. - To give much information easily and educate the readers. Characteristics of Biography Text - Biography is not written by subject and always written in the third person. - Describes the person’s surroundings (where, when and how the per
